The first of two seminars by Daniele Macuglia that explore Renaissance cuisine.
In this seminar, Daniele Macuglia will discuss what it meant for everyday people to eat during the Italian Renaissance. Recipes and dietary habits will be explored, along with the influences of religion and foreign cultures on the culinary habits of the Italian peninsula at that time.
Dr. Macuglia's second seminar, Renaissance Cuisine: Banquets and the Food of the Rich, will be held on June 8th at the Italian Cultural Institute.
