Rigoletto.

RIGOLETTO. "QUEL VECCHIO MALEDIVAMI: A CURSE AND ITS CONSEQUENCES THROUGH THE LENS OF VERDI'S MUSIC"
Maestro Marco Armiliato in conversation with Maestro Emanuele Andrizzi

As part of its 2017/18 season, Lyric Opera of Chicago will present Verdi's Rigoletto under the baton of Maestro Marco Armiliato with an extraordinary international cast.
There’s no character in opera more powerfully dramatic than the court jester Rigoletto, whose acid tongue and all-consuming desire for revenge lead to catastrophe for himself and his sweet, love-struck daughter Gilda. Of all the great Verdi works, none boasts more unforgettable tunes than this one.
Marco Armiliato, considered one of today's most respected opera conductors, is a frequent guest in the world's most prestigious opera houses.
Emanuele Andrizzi, conductor, pianist, and composer is currently Director of Orchestras at Chicago College of Performing Arts - Roosevelt University.
